To inform the planning and implementation of future capacity building of the internal audit profession and meet the growing expectations of key players in the profession in Africa, The IIA commissioned a study on the status of the profession on continent. Phase I of the research was completed in 2016 and covered 11 English-speaking countries. The 2nd phase of the study, published in April 2019, takes into account the current situation of the internal auditor profession in nine mainly French-speaking countries, namely Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lesotho, Mali, Mauritius. , Morocco, Mozambique, Togo and Tunisia.
